July 2026 litter pick at SNRC

Following the success of last year’s litter pick events, members of St Neots Rowing Club once again came together this July to help keep our local environment clean and support the club’s ongoing sustainability efforts. ✨

Volunteers spent their Sunday morning (5 July 2026) collecting litter from around the club and nearby riverside areas, removing waste that might otherwise have found its way into the River Great Ouse. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we were able to recycle 15 plastic bottles, 10 cans and 9 glass bottles. The remaining litter was disposed of through general waste, with the exception of a battery and a lighter, which were separated for appropriate disposal.

As a club that spends so much time on and around the river, we know how important it is to help look after the environment we enjoy. Litter picks like these not only improve the area around the club but also help protect local wildlife and reduce pollution.

A huge thank you to all the members who volunteered their time and energy.

Every little bit helps! 🤩💪
