St Ives Regatta winners get a dunking
Following a long club tradition, Karl Zwetsloot (above) and Trevor Rickwood, who successfully lost their novice status in a double at St Ives Regatta at the weekend both got a dunking in the river. The pair were dunked outside the clubhouse by Mick Staddon, Steve Fox, Clive Emerson and Graham Mailer. Trevor went first – immediately followed by Graham as he lost his footing. Then it was Karl’s turn; he ended up going in twice after it was thought his first dunking was missed by the camera, but it turned out both were caught perfectly for posterity.
Congratulations to them both on become senior scullers and we look forward to seeing more wins from them both.
